Chronology
After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by the beetle juice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter Astrid accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife. Jenna Ortega, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, and Monica Bellucci share why they’ll never forget filming Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice. Tim Burton has said that this film would only be made if Michael Keaton returned to reprise his role. in 2014 in March Keaton has said that this is the only sequel he is interested in making. The film makes reference to “French physics”; Maria Sklodowska-Curie; she is actually one of the most famous Polish scientists in history, often considered second only to Copernicus.

The acting in the film was excellent from all parties involved
In that sense, I might appreciate it differently than someone who was a fan of the classics, so keep that in mind. Overall, I had a very good time and think the movie is a decent sequel to the cult classic. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who I’ve been a fan of since watching Smallville; As a child, bring your unique storytelling style to the world of *Beetlejuice* in a film that is very different from its predecessor, but in a new way that also respects the original. Of course, Tim Burton brings his unique style and this really feels like a Tim Burton movie in every sense of the word. The visual effects and production design are beautifully crafted, with the classic feel of Burton’s films from the 80s and 90s, but enhanced with modern technology and expanded possibilities. Playing the iconic role, Michael Keaton looks and acts exactly as if 36 years had not passed since the first film was shot.
Another standout performance in the film was Willem Dafoe in a brilliant and unconventional comic role
Winona Ryder, a much more seasoned actress since the original film, carries the film proudly, while the great Justin Theroux is hilariously funny in his own unique way. Jenna Ortega, while putting on a good show, seems a bit overexposed to me in recent years as her presence is inescapable everywhere you look. I would like her to take on a more challenging role that is very different from what she usually does to live up to the hype. Overall, the cast is full of big names that are always nice to see on screen. Another strength of the film is the musical aspect – the first film was very loud. From a good selection of songs, especially fun "musical numbers" references to the classics from the first film, and especially a slightly different twist on Danny Elfman’s legendary and wonderful theme music that will thrill any fan of the classic film.
which stays true to the spirit of the story and what cinema should be
All in all, after watching the first movie just recently, it was impossible to ignore this movie’s fan service for fans of the classic movie – and I mean that in the most positive way possible. It’s not the modern, tiresome fan service seen in so many franchise movies lately, but something that respects the original and gives fans waiting for the sequel what they wanted, doing it in a logical and enjoyable way.
