Chronology
After a wave incident at their elite school, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. This would be the third attempt at creating a television series based on the world of The Last Suicide Squad (1999). A direct-to-video sequel The Last Suicide Squad 2 (2000), with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar in the role of Kathryn Merteuil, was originally scripted for a television series before being made into a feature film. Gellar later reprised her role as Kathryn in 2016 in the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
